Marie-Antoinette Wassef

Hi! My name is Marie-Antoinette (She/Her), and I am a Pelvic Health & Orthopedic Physiotherapist.

I’m so glad you’re here. I’m deeply passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their bodies, restore function, and feel confident in their everyday lives.

My journey in physiotherapy began over 20 years ago after graduating from the University of Ottawa. Since then, I have dedicated my career to continuous learning, completing over 30 post-graduate courses and teaching at several physiotherapy programs, including the University of Ottawa, Kineconcept, and Everest College. These experiences have shaped my approach to care—one that is grounded in both clinical excellence and compassionate understanding.

While my foundation began in orthopedic physiotherapy, my path naturally evolved into pelvic health, where I discovered the profound impact this work can have on a person’s quality of life. Since 2009, I have worked closely with urogynecologists and urologists, developing extensive experience in treating a wide range of pelvic floor conditions.

Areas of focus

  • Pelvic Floor Dysfunction

  • Urinary Incontinence & Pelvic Organ Prolapse

  • Prenatal & Postpartum Care

  • Return to Exercise & Fitness

  • Bladder & Bowel Health (including constipation)

  • Sexual Health

  • Chronic Pelvic Pain (including endometriosis, vaginismus, and vulvodynia)

My approach to treatment is highly personalized and rooted in a combination of hands-on therapy and education. I integrate techniques such as manual therapy, acupuncture, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, visceral mobilization, exercise prescription, and functional rehabilitation to support each patient’s unique needs.

I strongly believe that healing goes beyond physical treatment. My goal is to empower you with knowledge about your body, so you feel confident and in control of your health journey. Together, we will set realistic, meaningful goals and build a plan that supports both your physical recovery and emotional well-being.

I am also the owner of BodyWork Physiotherapy and Myofascial Release Clinic in Orleans, and I am excited to be part of the Femade Multidisciplinary Women’s Health team—working collaboratively within a circle of care to provide comprehensive, integrated support.

My practice is a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for all individuals. I offer care in English, French, and Arabic, and I strive to ensure every patient feels heard, respected, and supported.

Outside of the clinic, I am a proud mother of three. I enjoy travelling, staying active, and embracing life fully—something I encourage all my patients to return to in their own way.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey to recovery and well-being.
