Hi, my name is Tiffany. I began my yoga practice 8 years ago and with a combination of movement and stillness, I realized that I was still holding onto trauma in my body despite years of therapy. Yoga helped me understand the importance of noticing. As survivors, we may feel as though we are merely visitors in our own bodies and I hope to cultivate a space where you can find familiarity in sensations, softness in discomfort, and strength in the physical, mental, and subtle body.
Current Offerings
Pelvic Strength & Mobility: This class focuses on strengthening and increasing range of motion in the hip joints and lower back, helping to bring awareness and release of the pelvic floor muscles. This is a vinyasa-hatha-pilates inspired class that is suitable for all levels. Mats and props available on-site.
Yin: In yin yoga, you hold each pose for 3 to 10 minutes, allowing the deeper, less flexible tissues in your body the time to stretch. Yin yoga is more likely to improve your overall flexibility and range of motion. Yin yoga also requires conscious and controlled breathing, often emphasized by relaxed belly breathing. This intimate practice encourages yogis to connect with their physical self, emotions, and sensations.
