I was drawn to the profession of occupational therapy because of the holistic and well-rounded approach which takes into account all aspects of a person; including their unique capabilities, their physical and social environment and all of their daily tasks (also known as occupations).
Through various clinical placements, I have had the pleasure of working with clients from all age groups with a broad spectrum of physical, cognitive, and psychological impairments, including; stroke, concussion, musculoskeletal/ orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc. In all practice settings, I strive to create a safe space in which clients feel understood, supported and empowered. In addition to my work at Femade, I also currently work with adult and geriatric populations in acute care medicine.
Jessica offers her services in both English and French.
