I also hated spending time alone. I was diagnosed with depression and a General Anxiety Disorder at age 15 and sought support from a psychologist and medication.
When I was 25, major family changes impacted my existing mental health challenges. I ended up developing health issues resulting in two abdominal surgeries. With both, I was told I should be able to return to my regular functions 1-2 weeks post-surgery. However, I had to take 1 month off work and experienced chronic pain for over a year due to severe abdominal adhesions. I sought services from various practitioners to help me get my health back on track. This was a huge motivation for me to do the same for others.
I became a Registered Social Worker and have devoted myself to helping others in various stages of life. While I work full time at CHEO, I wanted to carve out a special part of my practice to women, and this truly brings me fulfillment. You can find me at Femade on Mondays.
I am currently not taking any new patients but feel free to add yourself to my waitlist. If you are a current patient of mine you can book your follow ups here.
